‘Jana Nayagan’ Film Leak Sparks Investigation - Several Arrested

The online leak of the film 'Jana Nayagan' has caused shock within the film’s crew and the wider film industry, drawing strong condemnation from multiple parties.

Following the incident, the production company lodged a complaint with the Tamil Nadu Cyber Crime Police. Based on the complaint, authorities registered a case and launched an investigation.

In the initial phase of the probe, police arrested and questioned five suspects. Subsequently, a total of nine individuals, including the main suspect, have been taken into custody.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the film was allegedly leaked on social media through a freelance assistant visual editor, according to police sources.

Meanwhile, the Editors Union has suspended editor Pradeep Raghav. Although he is not believed to have directly caused the leak, the union stated that disciplinary action was taken due to alleged negligence and violations of rules, including the use of non-members as assistants.
