Palm Beach International Airport in Florida has officially been renamed President Donald J. Trump International Airport in honour of U.S. President Donald Trump.
The name change was implemented following legislation signed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, transferring authority over the naming of major commercial airports in the state and approving the rebranding of the Palm Beach facility.
The airport, located near Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, is expected to undergo further branding changes, including updates to signage and official identifiers. The airport’s aviation identifier has been updated, while the transition of passenger-facing systems is being carried out in phases.
Trump’s family and supporters welcomed the move, while the decision has drawn mixed reactions from the public and critics who questioned the naming of a major airport after a living political figure.
The renamed airport continues to operate as the primary commercial airport serving Palm Beach County and the surrounding region.
