Life Behind Bars for Man Who Assassinated Shinzo Abe

The man responsible for the assassination of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a Japanese court.

Abe was fatally shot during an election campaign rally in the western Japanese city of Nara in July 2022.

According to foreign media reports, the verdict was delivered today (21), nearly three and a half years after the assassination.
