Water Supply to Several Kalutara Areas to Be Suspended on Thursday

The water supply to several areas in the Kalutara District will be suspended for eight hours on Thursday (October 8) due to essential maintenance work at the Kehena Water Treatment Plant, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) announced.

Accordingly, the water supply will be suspended from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the following areas:

Kalutara

Wadduwa

Waskaduwa

Moronthuduwa

Pilaminawatte

The NWSDB said the maintenance work is being carried out to improve the quality and reliability of the water supply service.

The Board advised consumers in the affected areas to use stored water sparingly during the interruption and apologised for the inconvenience caused.
