U.S. President Donald Trump has said he is prepared to launch another major military strike against Iran, stating that increased military pressure is intended to bring Tehran back to the negotiating table.
Speaking on the matter, Trump said, "We are going to hit them very hard. At some point, they will say they can't take it anymore."
Following the remarks, several international media outlets reported that Trump has ordered the U.S. military to prepare for new operations targeting Iran. However, there has been no official confirmation from U.S. defense authorities regarding the reported order.
According to foreign media reports, the United States is expected to focus on key energy infrastructure, including Iran's power plants and oil refineries, if further military action is carried out.
Meanwhile, human rights organizations and international legal experts have cautioned that attacks on infrastructure essential to civilian life could violate international humanitarian law. They warn that deliberately targeting facilities critical to the survival and well-being of civilians may constitute war crimes under international law.
