The Tourism Development Authority reports that more than 850,000 tourists have visited the country so far this year.
A total of 207,182 tourists arrived in January, followed by 218,350 in February, marking a notable increase compared to figures recorded in 2024 and 2018.
However, the upward trend slowed in March 2026, with arrivals dropping to 183,979. The authority attributed this decline to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East region.
In April, tourist arrivals further decreased to 117,893.
Despite the slowdown in March and April, total arrivals reached 858,527 by the end of the first four months of 2026.
The authority also noted that the highest number of visitors came from countries including India, United Kingdom, Russia, China, and Germany.
