The Sri Lankan rupee continued its downward trend against the US dollar today (June 4), recording a further depreciation in value.
According to exchange rates published by several leading commercial banks, the selling rate of one US dollar ranged between Rs. 339.50 and Rs. 340.50.
The rupee has been gradually losing value against the dollar over the past few days, with today's rates reflecting an accelerated decline. Market observers note that the local currency remains under pressure amid ongoing demand for foreign exchange.
