Sri Lanka Railways Website Hit by Cyberattack, Timetable System Temporarily Disabled

The official website of Sri Lanka Railways was targeted in a cyberattack today (14), railway authorities confirmed.

Officials stated that the attack has specifically affected the online timetable system available on the website. As a precaution, the affected section has been temporarily taken offline while technical teams work to assess the damage and restore normal service.

Authorities added that the rest of the website remains fully operational and has not been impacted by the incident.

Engineering and cybersecurity teams are currently working to bring the timetable service back online as soon as possible. However, no further technical details about the nature or origin of the cyberattack have yet been released.
