No Sudden Fuel Price Increase in Sri Lanka This Month, CPC Chairman Says

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has announced that there will be no sudden increase in fuel prices in Sri Lanka this month, despite rising prices in the global market.

CPC Chairman D.A. Rajakaruna said global fuel prices have been trending upward amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East, which could place pressure on domestic fuel prices.

However, he assured that consumers should not expect a sudden hike in local fuel prices during the current month.

Mr. Rajakaruna further stated that assessments are currently being carried out to determine whether local fuel prices should be adjusted in line with prevailing global market rates.
