Namal Rajapaksa Appears Before Bribery Commission

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa appeared before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) on Friday morning following a formal summons.

Rajapaksa had been instructed in writing to appear before the Bribery Commission at 9 a.m. today.

The Commission has not yet disclosed the reason for summoning the SLPP MP. However, reports indicate that the inquiry may be connected to the controversial SriLankan Airlines Airbus deal.
