Tensions between the United States and Iran continue to remain high following weeks of conflict involving the U.S., Israel, and Iran.
The crisis began after joint military strikes by the United States and Israel on Iran, prompting retaliatory attacks by Tehran. The conflict later expanded across parts of the Gulf region, with Iran targeting Middle Eastern countries and temporarily closing the Strait of Hormuz, a key global shipping route.
The fighting reportedly lasted for more than 40 days before Pakistan stepped in as a mediator, helping both sides reach a temporary ceasefire. Discussions on a permanent truce have since faced difficulties, as the United States has reportedly rejected several Iranian demands, while Iran remains skeptical about American guarantees.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has continued to issue warnings toward Iran, raising concerns that further military action could occur at any time.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that any future U.S. attack could expand the conflict beyond the Middle East region.
Analysts believe that if direct war erupts between the United States and Iran, armed groups allied with Tehran — including Hezbollah in Lebanon and Yemen’s Houthi movement — could become actively involved in support of Iran, increasing the risk of a wider regional conflict.
