Court of Appeal Postpones Hearing of Suresh Sallay Petition to August 25

The Court of Appeal today heard intervening petitions filed in connection with a petition submitted by former Director of the State Intelligence Service (SIS) Suresh Sallay, challenging his arrest and detention over investigations into the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.

Attorneys representing the intervening petitioners made their submissions before the Court during today’s hearing, according to an Ada Derana reporter.

Following the submissions, the Court of Appeal ordered that further consideration of the case be postponed until August 25.
