14 Factory Workers Hospitalised After Van Plunges Down Precipice in Bulathsinhala

At least 14 people have been hospitalised following a road accident this morning (7) after a van carrying factory workers veered off the road and plunged down a precipice in the Udugalakanda, Amaragedara area in Bulathsinhala.

The van was transporting a group of workers from the Udugalakanda area to a factory when the accident occurred, according to reports.

Six of the injured have been admitted to the Horana District Hospital, while eight others are receiving treatment at the Bulathsinhala Divisional Hospital.

Among those hospitalised are 12 women and two men, including the driver of the van.

Police said that none of the injured individuals are in a serious condition.

Further investigations into the cause of the accident are underway.
