Zaheer Khan Co-Owned Anchor Sports AB Acquires Jaffna Kings

Anchor Sports AB, the global sports investment company co-owned by former Indian cricket star Zaheer Khan, has acquired the Jaffna Kings franchise in the Lanka Premier League (LPL).

The acquisition marks Anchor Sports AB's entry into Sri Lanka's premier T20 cricket competition, with the company aiming to strengthen the franchise both on and off the field. Jaffna Kings are one of the most successful teams in LPL history, having won multiple league titles.

Zaheer Khan, who is a co-owner of Anchor Sports AB, said the investment reflects the group's commitment to developing cricket and building sustainable sports franchises across the region.
