Water cuts scheduled for several Colombo suburbs

A water supply schedule will be implemented in several areas around Colombo from yesterday (02) until the 10th, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board decided.

Under the first round of rationing, supply remains suspended in Padukka from 8:00 PM yesterday (02) until 8:00 PM tonight (03).

Homagama will face a disruption from 8:00 PM tonight (03) until 8:00 PM tomorrow (04), followed by another scheduled cut from 8:00 PM on the 5th until 8:00 PM on the 6th.

Additionally, water supply to Battaramulla, Pamankada, Wellawatte, and Nawala will be suspended for three hours from 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM on alternate days.

The Board stated that this decision was necessary due to the ongoing dry weather conditions.
