Salary Hike Criteria for Labour Tribunal Presidents Now Official Under JSC

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) of Sri Lanka has issued a circular setting new criteria for annual salary increments for Presidents of Labour Tribunals.

Effective from February 1, the circular states that tribunal Presidents must issue at least 45 orders in contested cases within the year to qualify for their salary increment. The move aims to speed up the disposal of pending labour tribunal cases.

Completed increment applications must be submitted to the JSC Secretariat within three months of the increment’s due date.
