Court of Appeal Dismisses Petition Seeking Postponement of 2026 A/L Examination

The Court of Appeal has dismissed a writ petition that sought an order to postpone the 2026 General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level Examination, scheduled for August, by two months.

The decision was announced today (23) after the court considered the submissions and matters presented in the petition.

The petition had been filed by a group of students who are due to sit for the 2026 GCE Advanced Level Examination for the first and second time. They had requested the court to delay the examination by two months.

With the dismissal of the petition, the examination is expected to proceed as scheduled in August.
