Complaint Over Alleged Promotion of Banned Terrorist Group Referred for Investigation

A complaint concerning the alleged promotion of a banned terrorist organization during a public rally organized by the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) in Anuradhapura has been referred to the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) for further investigation.

The complaint was reportedly lodged by the Joint Opposition and referred to the TID on the instructions of the Inspector General of Police (IGP).

Authorities are expected to conduct further investigations into the allegations and determine whether any offences were committed during the rally.
