Agriculture Minister KD Lalkantha Says Former Elite Political Class “Upset” Over Legal Actions

Agriculture, Livestock, Lands and Irrigation Minister KD Lalkantha says that the country’s former elite political class, which has now lost power, is “very upset” following a series of legal cases filed over allegations of theft, fraud, and corruption.

He noted that many individuals from the former ruling circle are reportedly concerned about facing the law in the future due to these ongoing investigations and court proceedings.

“The elite class, which has lost its power, is very upset because of theft, fraud, corruption, and lawsuits. We should be worried, but we are not,” Minister Lalkantha stated.

He made these remarks while attending the Alahera Amuna reform programme.
